THE EVENT LOCATION: KANSAS CITY, OUR HOST CITY Main Event Fall 2008 REQUIREMENTS: Modeling experience is not necessary. No Height or Weight Requirements to participate. All contestants will appear in swimsuit as part of the competition. Male and Female all ethnic backgrounds and nationalities. This competition is open to anybody who has a dream in modeling and anybody who wants to help our charity foundation . Minimum Age 18, maximum 37. Any Marital Status (single, married, or divorced, may have children).
REGISTRATION: We are accepting applications nationwide. You can represent your country, state, culture, region, or local area. Registration is free for all participants. PROCESS FEE: A process fee of $50.00 American Dollars is required to enter to participate in Gabriela International Model Search. Gabriela International Productions is self supporting and relies solely upon process fees to cover production expenses. ADMISSION: You will receive your sponsor letter, a ticket order form and your official handbook at your first orientation. You have the choice of making the full payment of the value of the 20 tickets on your own or sell 20 tickets. Each ticket cost $25.00 American Dollars. No Hidden Fees. Your sponsors will participate financially by purchasing the tickets and helping you to participate in the competition. As you see you don't need to pay the full amount to participate. You only need 20 friends or family to help with your admission to cover the full amount for you to be able to participate in the International Fashion Model of The World, The Aspirant Modeling Contest. Proceeds from the tickets sale will be added to our charity foundation fund. AREAS OF COMPETITION The competition will consist of three equally weighted categories (Interview, Swimsuit, and Evening Gown/Formal Wear) + Runway Talent. The highest composite scores will determine the finalists. Finalists will answer a question. The winners must be articulate with excellent social and conversational skills. Contestants must be able to express themselves clearly, diplomatically, and must project a pleasant personality at all times. INTERVIEW AND AUCTION PARTY The Interview is conducted panel style and will be conducted during the Auction Party. Panel style is similar to a press conference. Contestants will introduce their self at a podium. The interview focuses primarily on contestant personal information (Profile) but may include opinion questions that require general knowledge of social and current event. Female contestants should wear a cocktail dress and male contestants should wear a formal suit. Each participant is required to bring a gift item to be auctioned. Proceeds from this auction will be added to our Charity Foundation Fund.
SWIMSUIT The Swimsuit focuses primarily on contestants' physical fitness and body proportion. Participants must carry themselves with confidence and grace. Female contestants will model 1 piece or 2 piece swimsuit of her choice. A solid color, no thongs allowed. Male contestants will model one solid swimsuit color. EVENING GOWN/FORMAL WEAR The Evening Gown Focuses primarily on how contestants carry themselves with elegance, grace and poise. Female contestants should wear a floor length gown and male contestants should wear a formal suit. Judges are not evaluating the cost or designer label of the gown, but rather how well it suits the delegate. RUNWAY TALENT All Aspirant Models will be part of a Fashion Show modeling Gabriela Arslanoglu Designs, where each contestant will prove their talent on the runway and together with the other scores will determine those who will become semifinalist.
